The Firm was established in 2000 by James R. "Rick" McDermott.  Rick graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974 and became a CPA in the State of North Carolina in 1976.  He worked for John C Muse & Company from 1974 through 1981.  He continued his career as Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche from 1981 through 1991 and was promoted to Partner in 1991 with the firm Dixon Odom, PLLC.
